Good Bye 2017, Hello 2018!

Hey friend and Happy New Year! Did you think that I totally fell off the face of the earth? I'm sorry for my radio silence over here the past two weeks. We have been Christmas-ing like no other! I plan to have a recap of our  Christmas, which I think was the best one yet, later this week! 

Today I'm going to share with you my top 5 posts from 2017 and share my goals for the new year!

F I V E - Disney World - In March Jack and I went to Disney and I recapped the first part of our trip in this post.

F O U R - Finding Grace in Motherhood - I got real with y'all in this post and shared my struggles as a mama and how I am learning to give grace!

T H R E E - Day in the Life - Just like me, ya'll love to be nosey! I shared a day in our life. I plan on doing another one soon!

T W O - My Skin Cancer Journey - I opened up and shared with ya'll how I got melanoma when I was in my early twenties.

O N E - Christmas Gift Guide- For Kids - Looks like you all love a gift guide as much as I do, and one for kids was the most popular!


These were just a few of the top posts I had in 2017 and I'm looking so forward to sharing more with you in 2018!

I have set a few goals for myself for the upcoming year. If you follow me on instagram you know that I posted yesterday that my theme for the year is "simplify/declutter". I am going to try so hard to keep things simple. My mom tells me that I am a hoarder so I am trying really hard to stop that. Meaning, throwing all the things away. Donating what I don't use anymore.

My goals for 2018:

Work on my health- I hate dieting, I am horrible at it. So I am not going to even pretend that I"m going on a diet. I am however going to be much more mindful of what goes in my mouth and how much I am eating. I am also going to get back to working out. My hope is to get up before the boys workout and ride our Peloton bike at least 3 mornings a week, and get back to going to barre 2-3 mornings a week. I always feel so much better when I'm in a workout routine and I have been horrible about it for months. So it's time!

Organize- I want to go through the boys closets and get them organized and cleaned out, donate what they don't wear and list this that I want to sell!

Plan- My new planner is ready to go and I am going to really use it this year. I get in a bad habit of using it for a month and never opening it again. not this time! I want to also get better about planning out my blog posts and get ahead!

So just a few of the goals that I hope to accomplish and follow through with this year!

  5. I am going to be cheering you on all year long. YOU CAN BE HEALTHY! YOU CAN LOSE THAT EXTRA PADDING ;) I am proud of you for even putting it out there for us to support you with.

  6. I love your goals! I LIVE out of my planner and we also have a "family" calendar on the inside of our pantry that we can write events for the month so Garrett and I always know what's going on each week and are on the same page. That helps us a lot!
