Wow I can't believe it's already the last Wednesday of the month! Today I'm linking up with some of my favorite bloggers and sharing whats up with me today!
1. What we're eating this week....
On Monday I posted about the easy bbq pulled chicken recipe I made Sunday night. Monday night we had oven fajitas (my favorite!) and last night I made pancakes from scratch! They are seriously so easy to make and with ingredients I always have on hand. I can't remember the last time I made pancakes from a box. We also had bacon...if you've never cooked bacon in the oven you're missing out. It is SO easy!
2. What I'm reminiscing about....
This is Jack's last week of school so I wanted to look back at what he looked like the first day of MMO this year. I cannot believe how little he looks. It's amazing just how quickly they grow and change at this age. This was before Graham was even born. I can't even believe how much our life has changed in just 8 short months!
3. What I'm loving...
The weather! It was beautiful yesterday. Not too hot and no humidity! We had several ugly days over the weekend but I think the nice weather is here to stay. It's going to be in the 90's by the end of the week. I'm not sure I'm ready for that but I definitely am excited about sunny nice days!
4. What we've been up to...
Just gearing up for the end of the school year. Spending lots of time outside
5. What I'm dreading...
Potty training...I don't necessarily want to do this but I'm going to attempt to at least try over the summer. I know they say you will know when they are ready so if it doesn't go over well then I won't hesitate to stop and revisit at a later date. I really wish there was some sort of toddler potty training boot camp you could send them off to and they would return fully potty trained.
6. What I'm working on....
Right now I've been really working with this sweet babe on getting him to sit up unassisted. I'm happy to say that I think he is 95% there. I'm still not comfortable leaving him by himself sitting and without a pillow or boppy right behind him but he isn't falling to the side or straight back anymore.
7. What I'm excited about...

8. What I'm watching...
I'm also pumped for the start of the Bachelorette. I have always loved watching this show. Its such drama and sometimes way over the top but I still love it.
I also can't forget my daily obsession....thank you Lifetime for helping me be so unproductive during nap time.
9. What I'm listening to...
A whole lot of Mickey and George...Jack has discoverd that the DVD player in the car actually plays the sound as well as the movie and now asks for it daily. Up until recently he was content just watching the movie without sound and I wasn't about to tell him that was an option. Some how he figured it out and now before I can even get the car going I hear "turn dat down!" which in his language means "turn the movie sound on!" When he's not in the car I'm always listening to The Highway on XM radio. My favorite song right now is Tyler Farr- Better In Boots
10. What I'm wearing...
Well since legging weather has officially gone out the door I've moved on to my summer staple. Workout skorts and tanks. I'm also still sporting some workout leggings because I've been trying to go to barre a few days a week and end up wearing that outfit the whole day. If I'm actually going to get dressed my favorites are white jeans and a top or a t-shirt Lilly Dress.

12. What I'm looking forward to next month...
We are taking the boys to the zoo the beginning of June and I can't wait to see how Jack does. He loves animals so I"m hoping that he doesn't disappoint me and have no interest in it..{like he did at the aquarium last summer} I'm also excited about our club pool opening. I foresee many afternoons spent here..probably chasing after one kid while trying to keep another content and happy...

Jack on his first day of MMO...precious! Cam's last day of preschool is today and I'm sad. I'm going to miss his teachers and honestly I'm going to miss that time he's at school a little bit. Ha ha! But we have so many fun things planned for the summer. Love your summer outfits. Have so much fun at the beach. The boys will have such a good time.
ReplyDeletePotty training - I feel like it never hurts to try. If he's not ready, at least he was introduced to the concept. We first tried at 18 months and Mila wasn't ready. We waited a bit and tried again at 22 months and Mila did it! It's not easy, but it beats trying to change a squirmy kid's diaper (Mila HATED diaper changes and always made them very difficult!). So jealous of your beach weekend - have so much fun!!

ReplyDeleteCan totally relate to naptimes... when those darn marathons come on, I sometimes find myself sitting with a cup of tea and somehow the whole hour has passed.... and nothing else has gotten done other than enjoy Grey's Anatomy :)
