Life Lately

It's been a long time since I've done a big ole photo dump/life lately!

Jack Started soccer last Saturday and had the best time! He is on the same team as 3 of his best buds! I can't wait to watch these games over the coming weeks.

Last weekend we celebrated one of best friends 40th Birthday! It was such a fun night. And I just have to give major props to this charcuterie board that my friend made! Seriously it was amazing!

The boys had a spend the night with grandaddy over the weekend and they made us breakfast the next day. I'm learning that it's a boys world and I'm just living in it!

We had to cheer on our Panthers on Sunday, and by cheer I mean they watched their iPads while we watched, ha!

I love getting pictures from Grahams sweet teacher during the school day!

Just 3 boys doing their thing.

Excuse this blurry pic but Graham loves to dress up and it makes me laugh every time!

It's impossible to get a decent picture these days!

Last night we all went to the fair. It's a tradition that we've done since Jack was a baby. We meet up with Patrick's parents, brother and our nephew. Here's where I'm going to be real honest..Graham was a disaster. He wasn't tall enough to ride any rides and all he wanted to do was run in every which way possible. He was losing his mind crying because we wouldn't let him and Patrick and I got fed up so we left with him and left Jack with Grandaddy. I am reminded why I always get a sitter for him for things like this. We missed out on having fun with Jack because of it. I feel like a failure because I don't understand why other families can do fun things with small kids. I am just going to have to realize that right now getting a babysitter for Graham is the best option, I don't want to miss out on having fun with Jack. Having said that, Steve is the best grandaddy ever. Jack had a blast! They even went up on a helicopter ride. We missed Donna being there and I felt such a void but I'm glad we can still go and do and enjoy these little moments!

So there you go. A big ole photo dump of what we have been up to lately! What have you been up to?

  1. Jack is just adorable in that little soccer uniform, and I love their matching outfits! Like I told you last night, we are going through the same thing too (often saying, “Knox can be such a disaster”) but I know this too shall pass! You’re doing a great job! 😘

  2. I'm just so glad that Granddaddy is getting out and hanging with you all. I bet it makes him so so happy! Love Jacks smile on that ride!

  3. You're not alone -- we get sitters for our 19-mo twins so that we can take our 4-yo out. There is no way we'd be able to enjoy ourselves if we had all 3. Also the twins go to bed at 6:30 so that is another limit. One day we'll be able to all go as one big happy family, but it'll probably be a while. Love your honesty and now I know I'm not the only one haha!

  5. We hardly ever go to fairs. Like... I think we've been twice in 9 years. Somethings gotta give! Maybe I'll find one and make a point to go this Fall.

  6. This is my struggle too. My girls act crazy in public most of the times and I feel like a failure because they just can't sit still. I want to take them out more, but the meltdowns are tough. It is a struggle. I am right there with you. Love seeing what you all have been up to lately. Loving the fair photos.

  7. The fair looked SO fun! My whole family went this week but we stayed home because Vivi goes to bed at 7 and I felt so selfish trying to keep her up late and making her miserable. As is life with littles! I know you guys will feel such a void without your MIL but gosh your FIL sounds just wonderful and I know he appreciates how much time he gets to spend with yall and your boys
