Five Things That Bring Me Joy

Happy Friday! Today I'm doing my Friday Favorites a bit differently, I'm talking about things that bring me joy!

O N E | Seeing my FIL with my boys... He is the sweetest with them and has the kindest heart. They are currently at the beach together for the weekend and I know will have the best time!

T W O | Clean Sheets.. There is nothing better than getting into bed at night with freshly changed sheets. They are crisp, have such a good smell and generally so much better than any other night you get into bed, ha!

T H R E E | Phone calls/texts with old friends...The kind of friends that you may not talk to every day but when you do talk it's as if nothing has changed.

F O U R | Today is the official first day of Fall...This brings me so much joy. Fall is by far my favorite season. (Well Other than Christmas) My birthday is in two weeks, then Graham turns 2, Halloween, and Jack turns 4. So many fun things happen during the fall. And don't even get me started on the weather, I can't wait for the cool crisp mornings!

F I V E | Picking up Graham from school...The boys are on separate playgrounds when I pick them up. I always get Jack first and then we go and get Graham. As soon as Graham sees Jack he runs as fast as he can to the fence yelling "JAACCCK" over and over. It's the sweetest thing. They love each other so much!

There you have it. Five things that are currently bringing me joy right now. This weekend Patrick and I are having a kid free weekend! What? That never happens, at least not when we are home. We always are going somewhere when the boys are gone for the weekend. I'm excited to go visit my bestie who's baby girl is still in the hospital and tomorrow night we are going to dinner with some friends. A much needed relaxing and restful weekend is ahead. And if you ask Patrick, he will say he's going to watch Game Of Thrones the whole weekend...he's finally on season seven. ha!

Have a great weekend, friends!

  1. Love those sweet boys! Your father-in-law is seriously amazing and I'm so glad they're getting that special time with him. (And that you and Patrick get some alone, quiet time!) Love how Graham says, "JAAACK!" when you pick him up. Knox sees Walker and starts yelling, "BUBBA! BUBBA!" and it just melts my heart.

  3. Clean sheets are SO good, right?! I have always said that if I didn't have to do the work, I would put clean sheets on the bed EVERY single night. I hope the boys have the best weekend at the beach. It sounds like the perfect place to spend some time if you ask me. Happy first day of fall! Now if we could only convince the weather.

  8. #3 yes yes yes!! I love those friends that you can just text out of no where and pick up a conversation you started 2 months prior! That first photo with your father in law is precious, too. Family is the best!
