Friday Favorites

Happy Fri-YAY!! The boys and I made it back home yesterday afternoon. This was the first time I've driven both boys to and from Charlotte alone. They both did really well and Graham only cried the last 30 minutes...I think he was overly tired, he refused to take a nap in the car!

On to my favorites from the week!

O N E | I mentioned in my post yesterday that I went to Charlotte to see my parents and attend a fun event! One of my favorite parts of blogging is making connections and friends with other bloggers and readers! I have been lucky enough to become friends with Beth and April and another sweet friend who isn't a blogger. So when I saw that April and Sarah were hosting a fundraiser I knew it would be a great time for me to come to Charlotte to visit my family and meet these sweet girls! Not to mention the event had an awesome purpose! The event benefitted low-income military families and caregivers. We played bunco and had a great time! Beth was sweet enough to pick me up on the way and it really felt like I had known her forever! I am excited to get together again next time I'm back home!

T W O | While in Charlotte my mom and I took the boys to the Nature Museum. We got there just after it opened and had the whole place to ourself. It was so fun to wander around and not worry about my boys getting lost! Just as we were leaving 3 different schools were rolling up and I was thankful not to be there at the same time! Is it me or do you feel so much more at ease when there isn't a crowd at a place like that? I'm constantly monitoring where my boys are and trying to make sure neither one of them gets lost.

T H R E E | After the museum we went to the mall and played at the play place outside. I just love these rosey cheeks!

F O U R | I mentioned that we had family pictures taken last weekend. We got them back last night and I was pleasantly surprised with them! Of course Graham didn't cooperate for 98% of the shoot so they aren't the best of him but over all I'm loving them!

Well that is all for today! I am excited to spend the weekend with my boys and celebrate Mother's Day. We will head to Patrick's aunts house on Saturday and celebrate with his whole family and then Sunday I plan to go to church and just hang around! I hope you have a great weekend!!

  1. I'm so glad you got to go to Charlotte for the fun event and to spend some time with your family! I'm loving those family portraits, too! (Thanks for texting me the sneak peek!) I'm with you on going places -- especially this time of the year during field trip season and summer -- it's such a hassle when there's a huge crowd and when it's like that, I sometimes don't even feel like going! Happy Friday (and Mother's Day), friend! xoxo

  8. Yay for family pics! I like to think even the more 'imperfect' ones will be loved and treasured in the future. (Or maybe that's just what I tell myself...) -- Lisa | Naptime Chai
