Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I went to see 50 Shades Darker last night with some girlfriends! We don't have any plans this weekend. The weather is supposed to be so nice so I'm sure that means we will be outside doing all the things!

My favorites from this week are totally random..

O N E //  I love fresh flowers! I have always heard Trader Joes has the best flowers..unfortunately the closest one is 45 minutes away. Yesterday we were at Harris Teeter and I saw these tulips and had to get them! I love the mixture of pink and white and they just brighten up my kitchen/den.

T W O // I saw Mel posted these cookies earlier this week and knew we had to bake them! Jack and I made them one evening after Graham went to bed. It was such a fun activity for us to do together and they taste so yummy! I do think if I make them again I will only use half a bag of chocolate chips vs the whole bag.

T H R E E // I love doing random acts of kindness. Doing things for others has always been something that brings me joy. The other night I was making this pasta dish. I knew that I could easily divide it into two dishes since only Patrick and I ever eat what I make. My bestie has older kids and they are always so busy during the week so I texted her that morning and asked if I could bring her supper that night. She was so relieved to not have to cook and I loved doing it! Win win for both. I highly encourage you to do this for a friend randomly one night, I guarantee it will make their day!

F O U R // Jack is so funny lately and I just love looking back in the backseat seeing him wearing his sunglasses.

F I V E // I saw this posted somewhere this week and it describes me to a T. I laughed way too hard. Anyone else relate with this?

I hope you have a great weekend! Are you doing anything fun?

  1. I love that we both have tulips in our house; twins! ;) And, I so need to get better about making meals for friends "just because" and stop making excuses as to why I can't. Thank you for the encouragement.

  4. That last picture cracked me up! That is so me!
That is so nice that you did that for your friend. Coming from a mom who is always driving older kids around for activities, I guarantee it made her day!

  5. Those tulips looks so beautiful and are so happy! I'd smile every time I walked by them. Girl, I feel that way about drying my hair every day. Ha ha! I took dinner to a friend who has a new baby. I love helping others. :)

  7. Haha. I love the last one. I love flowers from TJ's. We have one that is close, but when I go in, I buy these mini chocolate chip cookies that have coconut in them and I eat the entire bin in a sitting or two. So good, but so bad. Ha. So nice of you to take your friend dinner. That's awesome. I hope you have a great weekend!

  10. Drying my hair is the worst part of my morning. But looking like I'm homeless doesn't do me any favors so I wash it. Always.
