Weekending- Yay October!

My favorite month is finally here! This begins the best 3 months of the year, hands down! We had a great weekend. It was busy but filled with fun!

Friday | The boys went to school and I did some errands and then went to Patrick's parents house and visited with his Aunt Patsy who was getting ready to head back to Charlotte. Patsy has been so wonderful throughout all of what we've been to and has really stepped up as far as taking care of us and filling that void we have with Donna gone.

That night we had some of our best friends over for pizza and playing. They have two boys who are our boys age and its nice to just have a family over that is like family. The boys fought (as kids do) and there was no awkwardness, we just let them work it out!

Saturday | Shockingly we all slept until 7! Jack had a soccer game at 9. Patrick and I went and left Graham home with our sitter, he would be wanting to play and all over the field if we took him!

After soccer we ran home, changed clothes and I took the boys to a local farm for their fall festival. Thank goodness Anna came with us, I had thought I could do it alone, but man I was wrong. Both boys went in opposite directions. We met our friends out there and everyone had a great time. The weather was beyond perfect. Not hot, no humidity, and a nice breeze!

We left the farm, picked up lunch to bring home and then all took naps! Saturday evening Patrick and I went to dinner with one of his oldest friends and his wife, it was great to catch up. We live in the same town but rarely see them!

Sunday | I woke up with welcome arms to October! A lazy morning around the house followed by all FOUR of us going to church! This was so big. Lately it has just been Jack and me going to church. Finally I decided I would put Graham in the nursery and we would all go. Of course trying to get everyone ready was a beyond cluster but once we were there it was great! Graham only cried for a few minutes.  You can see my attempt to get any decent pictures today was a total FAIL

The rest of the day was spent at home, taking naps, doing errands and then that evening I had to go to a Young Life meeting. We just got YL in our community and I am on the committee so we had a pot luck dinner and our monthly meeting. I am so excited about YL coming to our town, I grew up going in High School and it was so fun!

It was a great weekend and finally felt like fall! I am so happy and hope that these temps are here to stay!

  1. The boys are adorable in those pumpkin patch photos, and I'm dying at the cuteness that is Graham in that bubble. Yay for everyone making it out to church! It's such chaos and stress on Sunday mornings, but it's so worth it! Happy Week, friend!

  9. Ascolta, ti avverto contro la rabbia del mio Oracle, ma siccome scegliete di essere scortese, andate e quando la distruzione viene a voi, non mi mandi perché ti ho già avvertito.
