Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday, friends!  It's been a great week around here. The weather has been fabulous and we've spent most of the boys awake time outside. If it were up to Jack we would be outside from sun up to sun down.  Lets get right to my favorites this week!

// I have really long, thick hair. In turn whenever I shower my hair is like one big dread lock after I get out and try to comb it out. It's always been such a process and quite frankly hurts! Last time I got my hair done my hair dresser Kellie used a wet brush on my hair and it combed through the matted mess with ease. I was shocked...of course I immediately bought one and haven't looked back since! My nieces have been using these brushes for years and I always assumed it was a kids brush...heck no. Seriously go buy one. Now. You won't regret it!

// I started weight watchers this week. I had success doing it back in college and with the nudging from a friend who is also doing it I decided to join. I really like the system because I can eat what I want, as long as I have the points, and its a great visual for me to see what I am actually putting in my mouth. It definitely makes me think twice about those M&M's that are in the cabinet! I have been trying to come up with healthy lunch options and stumbled upon this recipe for healthier chicken salad from another blog I was reading. Ya'll, it's so good! I put it on a bagel thin with a small amount of cheese and toasted it...hello chicken salad melt!

// I love that Jack comes home with a cute craft most every day from preschool. Right now These are are hanging in my kitchen and I adore seeing those little feet and hands every time I open my pantry cabinet! I have gobs and gobs of his artwork from this past year, I can't bring myself to throw it away. So, seasoned mamas, what do you do with your babies art work? How do you store it?

// We built a screened in porch about a year and half ago. Last summer we ordered some outdoor furniture but that was about the extent to decorating that we did. I got the bug this week to add a few things to make it more homey. I got everything from target, they have a great outdoor selection right now! I added the end table, two lanterns, rug, and pillows. The garden seat was in my house but I had been wanting to find a new place for it and this was perfect!

// Like I said above, we've spent tons of time outside this week. I love that I can sit on the porch with Graham and watch Jack play in the backyard! I foresee this being my home base for the next 5 months.

// Lastly, I know I am constantly talking about how sweet Jack and Grahams relationship is. Last night we were at my in-laws and I looked over and this is what I saw. Heart. Melting. I can't wait to see them grow and play and fingers crossed be the best of friends!

Not much going on this weekend, I'm sure the majority of it will be spent outside. I hope that you have a great weekend! See you Monday for my weekend wrap-up!

  1. Good luck with weight watchers! My Mom always has success when she joins it. She loves how it holds you accountable for what you are eating throughout the day.

Stopping over from the link up. Hope you can pop over to my blog! Have a great weekend!

  3. The wet brush is THE best! After using one, I went out and bought a few and threw away every other brush in our home.
    Enjoy your weekend!

  6. Your porch...swoon. And I have the Wet Brush and love it. I got it after I stopped pumping and started losing a bunch of hair. My hairstylist recommended it and I love it.
