Graham Six Month Update

Well I guess better late than never can be applied to this post. Especially since Graham will be turning 7 months old next week. Maybe I will be more with it when it comes to the timing of that post...I'm not counting on it though.

Weight: 15 lbs 4 oz (11%)
Height: 25 1/2 inches (16%)
Diaper Size: Size 2
Clothing: All 6 month and some 6-9 month
Nicknames: g baby, baby gam, gam, grammy
Health: This past month other than some allergies everyone stayed healthy!
Sleep: Month six is when sleep finally started to normalize. Naps got SO much better. You take a 1-1.5 hour nap in the morning and usually 1.5-2 hour nap in the afternoon. You still sometimes take an even cat nap (which we force on you a lot of times) You go to bed between 6:45/7 and are waking just once to eat and right back down. You will give us one or two full nights of sleep and jus when we think you've turned the corner you'll start waking up again.

Diet: I finished up giving you my stash of frozen breast milk and you took mostly formula this month. Drinking between 6-8oz about 4-5 times a day. We also started solids with you. We started with oatmeal and prunes in the morning. When I could actually remember to give it to you! (second child problems!) It took you a little bit to figure out how to get the texture and handle of swallowing down but once you did you started eating like a champ!

Loves: being held, playing on the floor under his play mat, his big brother, laughing and smiling {all the time!}The Jump-er-roo, being outside, going on walks, the car (you fall asleep most every time), Bath time (if you are particularly fussy in the evenings I'll stick you in the tub and you cheer right up and go to town splashing and playing)

Dislikes: being hungry, wet diapers, the witching hour [er...hours} this is your most fussy time. Which happens to be about the same time daddy walks in the door so he assumes you are like this all day!
Milestones: You are rolling from both front to back, went to your friend Ben's first birthday party,  slept through the night 2 nights in a row, you also started taking a bath with your brother in the tub. It's so much easier since we don't have to do two separate baths now. Your aunt Ellie and cousins Julia and Andrew who live in Indiana came for a short visit.

Sweet Graham month six was by far the easiest month we've had with you yet! Things finally fell into place with your sleeping and the routine got much easier. You became predictable and I didn't feel like I had to pack everything but the kitchen sink each time we left the house. Your little personality really started shining and you light up when one of us walks in the room. Your bond with your brother has become so sweet and I love nothing more than watching the two of you interact. We love you to pieces sweet baby!

  1. Oh sweet boy! He is so absolutely adorable. I love the sleeping pictures. And his face when trying food is hysterical. Such a happy little guy (except for during the witching hour).

  2. He is SUCH a happy baby! What a blessing he is. And I die over those photos with his big brother. That makes me so excited to see how it will be five months down the road with Camille and Charlotte! Heart melting.

    1. Thank you! He really is so happy (minus that terrible witching hour!) you will seriously melt with each passing moment between your girls. The bond is strong. It's one of my favorite things of having them close in age. They will be instant best friends!
