Friday
// The boys and I had a lazy morning. I captured this photo and couldn't believe it. They were both looking AND smiling at the same time. That never happens!
// Jack spent last week going to VBS and Friday evening they had a little program. Before we went we stopped by and visited with my MIL. All the praise hands, she was discharged from the hospital and moved to a rehab facility in our town!!
The program Jack did was so cute and sweet. They sang two songs and said the memory verse that they learned through the week. I teared up hearing Jack say his verse.
Saturday
// Saturday morning we were lazy while daddy went to work for a bit. The boys were really sweet and played well together.
// My FIL came over mid morning and picked the boys up so that Patrick and I could go and visit with his mom for a bit without the kids. While I was getting Graham dressed he found this old babydoll that we gave Jack back when I was pregnant with Graham. Jack was the exact age Graham is now and I loved seeing it come full circle with Grahammy loving on the baby!
// The boys came over towards the end our visit and saw their Nana.
// After naps Jack and I made brownies per his request followed by a lot of playing with the boys and having a low key evening.
// Once we put Graham to bed we grilled steaks and had a nice dinner without any distractions
Sunday
// Sunday morning started with rainbow pancakes per Jacks request! Thankfully Patrick took this on and I sat and watched. It was a lot of action in the kitchen before 8 am.
// We then all went and visiting with my MIL. It was a great visit and she had made such a noticeable improvement from the day before. Patricks brother and son were also there and I took the opportunity to get a quick family photo.
// Sunday night our best friends came over for dinner with their two kids. We grilled burgers and enjoyed hanging out. Their kids are always so sweet to mine. It was a great end to the weekend.
I am so thankful that my MIL is doing so much better. I pray that with some intense PT she is going to be back on her feet and home in no time, which will then allow chemo treatments to begin again! We had a wonderful weekend, even though there wasn't a whole lot that we did! I am really over summer now and ready for football and fall to start...anyone else?

Yay for Donna! She looks amazing up and out of bed! I'm so glad y'all got to spend so much time with her and I love that your father-in-law came by, too. The rainbow pancakes were precious; tucking that away for the boys for this weekend. And I still can't get over that precious picture you sent me Friday! They're both so precious and adorable!
