Friday Favorites + the winner of my giveaway

Happy Fri-YAY! This week has crept by for some reason.

My top 5 things from this week..

O N E // After almost 3 years we finally transitioned Jack to a big boy bed. He really wasn't having any issue in his crib so I'm somewhat thinking I'm crazy for doing it. He has been asking off an on to sleep in his big boy bed and I've always put it off. Wednesday night he had had a really good day and was really sweet and asked if he could "sleep in big bed" so we figured that we'd give it a go! And to our surprise, he didn't get out of the bed! Other than his middle of the night wakeup that has become a habit he did really great. His nap was his usual 3 hours! {yay!} I have never been one to really get sad over the milestones that my boys make. I love watching them grown but I'll be honest and say this one hit me. It was crazy to see that little boy all grown up and not in a crib. Reminds me just how quickly they grow up.

T W O // Last night a group of my friends and I had a girls night out to see Bad Moms. Y'all..this movie did not disappoint. I seriously laughed from the time it started until the time it ended. It was hilarious! I highly suggest if you haven't seen it you grab your closest girlfriends and get your butts to the movie!

Missing in this pic are two other friends that went.

T H R E E // If you saw my Instagram picture yesterday I posted that I had the hardest time hanging these 4 canvas'. That part is not a favorite but the actual pictures are. I am so excited to have these in my bedroom and that I get to look at them first thing in the morning! Side note...is there a trick to hanging a cluster of pictures? I measured and re measured and marked and everything and still was off a little bit. I need to hire a picture hanger {wishful thinking..}

F O U R // If you are looking for an easy side dish you've got to make this sweet corn and zucchini pie. It didn't take long to whip up and went great with the pork tenderloin we had for dinner the other night. I forgot to take a picture before we started eating..#bloggerfail

F I V E // I just can't get over how sweet these boys are. Jack requested to take a picture with Graham the other day. Of course I quickly said sure! and I grabbed my camera and began snapping away. I pray they always remain close!

We have no real plans this weekend. I may attempt to seriously potty train Jack..I said this two weekends ago and at the first accident threw the towel in and gave up. Seriously, potty training isn't for the faint of heart and I just don't have the motivation to do it! Any tips would be appreciated!

I'm finally announcing the winner of my corkcicle giveaway. Maddie Vey you won! I sent you a message on Instagram! Thanks everyone for participating and also reading my posts. It means so much to me!

Have the best weekend!

  1. Yay Jack!! I love that he wants to sleep in his big boy bed. Potty is definitely hard. I something think it's tougher on the parents than the kids. Just go by Jack and what he needs. I found a potty training app by Pull ups and it was really helpful. I also had a sticker chart and a small candy of choice for after he went. Honestly we tried last summer and gave up after Cam was going backwards after 11 days. In January he got sick and basically potty trained himself because he didn't want to poop in the diaper because it hurt his bottom. Hang in there.

  4. I have a hard time hanging sets of photos too. They are always off to me as well. I loved Bad Moms. I made my husband watch it last weekend (the week of my birthday) and he really enjoyed it as well. So funny.
