Weekending

Anyone else recovering from a Super Bowl hangover? I ate way too much and stayed up too late. This was a fun weekend for me!

Friday morning I was up bright and early to head on a girls getaway to the spa at Pinehurst Resort. It's about a two hour drive from us and such a nice place. There was a group of 16 girls going but we all left at different times. I rode with my bestie and another friend of ours. We arrived in Southern Pines about 10 and did some shopping and had lunch. It's the cutest little town.

After lunch we headed to the resort to check in and head to the spa. We met up with some other girlfriends in the spa. We spent the entire afternoon relaxing and getting our treatments. I had a massage and it was fabulous!

After we left the spa we headed back to our rooms to get ready for dinner. We had late reservations at a great local restaurant. It was so good!

Saturday morning we got up and headed down to their buffet breakfast, which was amazing! We then packed up and headed home. I missed the boys while I was gone but they had fun with their daddy!

Saturday Jack and I headed to a birthday party and Patrick went to a basketball game. Saturday night we ordered chinese and watched Deep Water Horizon after the boys went to bed.

it may be time to cut Grahams hair....I just can't bring myself to cut the curls!!

Sunday Jack and I headed to church and then spent the afternoon relaxing before having some friends over for the super bowl. I really could have cared less who won since the Panthers were not in it this year! I was just there for the food and the commercials. I will say Lady GaGa did an amazing halftime show! Jack and his friend Charlotte had a great time dancing...and I have no idea where his shirt went! He was without it the majority of the night haha!

Jack got to attend children's church for the first time today instead of going to the nursery. He did SO good. I was worried he would cry and want me to stay with him but he took the hand of a sweet little boy and off they went with the other kids. It was a proud mama moment for sure!

It was a busy but fun weekend! I hope you had a great weekend too. Did you do anything fun for the super bowl?

  5. What a fun weekend with your girls!
I too am a bit hungover from the game. We stay up way too late, Connor included. I think today will be a slower paced day for sure.

  9. I was laughing at the shirtless pictures because Avery takes her pants off at random times too. So funny. How fun having a girls night with a spa, dinner and that brunch. Yum. Looks like a pretty good weekend!
