Well I haven't done one of these in awhile, and truthfully we haven't had a whole lot lately thats been fun and happy. This weekend was finally one that was filled with laughter and fun!
Before I begin I couldn't get through today without being reminded of what today is. September 11th will be a day I never forget. I was in high school and I remember it so vividly. A lot has happened since that day 16 years ago. Many men and women have fought for my freedom because of that day. My heart will be thinking of all the families that have lost loved ones on that day and because of that day. The men and women who selflessly went into burning buildings to save people are among our nations heroes!
Friday |
Friday was a low key night. Some friends of ours brought supper over, which was so nice! We ate dinner and after we put the boys down we watched the movie Megan Leavey, it was really good. I recommend it to anyone. Even Patrick enjoyed watching it.
Saturday |
We had a lazy morning around our house and then went over to see Patricks dad and hang out for a bit. He ended up taking Jack to watch our nephew's flag football game.
That afternoon Patrick and I headed to Raleigh to watch NC State's home opener football game! We tailgated with one of my best friends and had a great day date!
Sunday |
Sunday morning we decided to head out to Patricks family farm, where his brother lives. We picked up Grandaddy and had the best time. The boys drove the tractor, and played on the backhoe. We all took turns riding the four wheeler. Patrick did some fishing. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. It felt like a fall day and I loved it! In fact it was like that all weekend, I hope that it continues. I wouldn't hate having an early fall! We stopped off for burgers before heading home for naps!
That evening we {I} made homemade pizza for dinner.
It was truly a nice weekend. The weather had me in such a good mood and I enjoyed being with my people. I of course had my eye on all things Irma, and have been praying for all in the path. I'm so happy to hear that it's been downgraded as of this morning. Continuing to pray for Florida and all that encounter this ugly beast!
