Weekending- Snow Edition

Well its a "snowy" Monday around here! And by snow, I mean ice..lots of ice. Our whole city is pretty much shut down! Schools are closed and I have a feeling I will be staying cooped up inside for yet another day! I hope you had a great weekend!

All last week they had predicted snow. We were supposed to get anywhere from 6-8 inches. I was so excited. My fridge was stocked and we were ready. It began to rain Friday afternoon and that evening we met our friends for some pizza. We came home and put the boys to bed and then started watching The Crown on Netflix. It was really good! We watched the first two episodes before heading to bed. I swear I am still a kid because I spent the entire night wondering if it was snowing even getting out of bed to check. We woke up that morning to lots and lots of sleet. It was not the soft fluffy snow that I had hoped for but we still made the best of it!

The sleet turned to snow mid morning and it did snow for several hours. It was a major accumulation but it was enough for the boys to go outside and play. Jack had the best time! The rest of the weekend was spent inside. I get cabin fever after a day of being cooped up so by Sunday afternoon I was going stir crazy. Hence the tons of instagram stories and snapchats that happened.

Get ready for snow picture over load!

let it be known..getting a child dressed in snow gear is a workout. Multiply this by two toddlers and I was full blown sweating!

Doesn't everyone warm up in just their underpants and snow boots?

Even sweet roscoe needed to be warmed up

While the boys napped I laid on the sofa and watched the snow fall out the window. There really is nothing more peaceful than watching snow fall!

Round two, now with sweet Graham

Jack and I baked cookies after we thawed out from being outside!

We ended the weekend with some snuggles from my biggest boy!

  1. Isn't freshly falling snow just so beautiful? We are finally supposed to warm back up again, well warm up to around 30ish, but we have some snow in our forecast which is so exciting again. I could use one more good snowfall, then I can call it good. haha! Glad you guys had a great time outside!

  3. It's so funny that you are only a few hours from me, but the results of the snow is so different. We got 6" of snow, but no ice. Crazy! Looks like a good time! We had a blast out in the snow. Schools are closed today too, but roads are clear, so we will be heading to Target. :)

  5. Glad you guys got to enjoy some of the "snow" we had a ton of it, but it was the fluffy kind so that's always nice!! Those cookies are the best way to thaw out! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
