Thoughts For Thursday

I haven't done an confessions post in awhile so here goes!

I confess...

// That the toys are out of control in our house. I pick them up and not 30 seconds later Graham has pulled all the books off the shelf and there are toys everywhere. Thankfully they are contained in my playroom so I don't see them all over. I do get annoyed when they creep into my den though!

// That I have been trying to eat better, or be more intentional with what goes in my mouth. Yesterday I was really good...until 8:00 when I decided I should open the girl scout cookies I had to buy that day. I should have stayed strong and not bought any!!

// That I have noticed on days where Jack doesn't watch the iPad very much he is a much better child. He isn't as sassy and doesn't have as many melt downs. I am definitely going to be setting timers when he is on it and enforce him getting off!

// That I have taken nyquil the past two nights because of a cold I have and that is the best sleep I've had in a long time. Although I have woken up super groggy each morning, but the sleep is heavenly!

// That we have squirrels that some how get in our attic and they go down a wall in our bedroom and it FREAKS ME OUT. You only hear them in the middle of the night and it literally sounds like they are going to scratch through the wall and come into my bedroom. Patrick has set traps in years past and caught many. They must have chewed through the wire he put up because they are BACK!

// That I am so behind on commenting on blog comments. I need to start doing it right when I read the comment because I otherwise forget and then feel bad that it's been so long since I've commented!

// That we have had some awesome weather these past few days and while it has given me a taste of spring I am not ready for winter to be over! I haven't had enough time to wear all the winter clothes...uggs and puffy coats. They are my favorite!

// That I just can't stay on top of keeping my house picked up. I have tried so hard to keep my kitchen clean. It was spotless yesterday morning. As I look at it now, its a wreck! Just crap everywhere, not dirty dishes or anything.

// That Graham likes to pull every single thing out of any drawer I have in my kitchen and it's driving me crazy. No need to workout because I spend all day doing squats putting stuff in the drawer and he pulls it right back out!

// and lastly...that I need Graham to start walking!! He is so close and it would make life so much easier. He doesn't want to be held but I can't put him down when we are places...like the park, or a store! So come on buddy..walk!!

Well there are a few of my thoughts for this Thursday! I hope you have a great day, and yahoo tomorrow is FRIDAY!!

  1. This is too funny - we have something moving around in our attic too! It's so annoying and creepy at the same time!

  2. I'm right there with you on the toys. I want to purge so badly, but I can't find the time to do it! The squirrels - OMG, I would be freaked out too!!!

  3. Sorry I gave you the Girl Scout cookie craving! ;) And girl, yes on the iPad comment. I've even noticed it with TV for Walker! Ugh. And I so took NyQuil last night and seriously, that was the best sleep I've had in a LONG time! Haha! #momlife

  4. The warmer weather is nice, but like you, I want more time to wear my favorite types of clothes!!! Hopefully there is still a bit of winter in store for us.

  5. Our toys are out of control too. I've been reorganizing everything and I'm terrified to start the basement because it's full of toys! We had mice in our attic. We called the exterminator!

  6. I swear our playroom vomits on itself every single day. I've gotten to the point that I only pick it up once a week. I just close the door and walk away. Ha ha! I'm signed up to consign at a big sale I've gone to for years and I'm excited to start purging things we don't use or need for the kids anymore.

  7. Ugh the toys are all over my house. It doesn't seem to matter how many I get rid of or how many times I put them away or how many I hide even. I swear they are breeding.
I am so with you on the screen time. Night and day difference in my kids if they get too much.

  8. Girl, Nyquil is AH-mazing. I always feel like a new woman when I wake up after a night with Nyquil. Haha.

  9. I need the sleep as well. And if Nyquil did it for you this week, good for you! My girls destroy their room and our living room (where most of their toys are) in seconds flat. We pick it up twice a day because it bothers me so much. I feel the pain. I hope Graham walks soon. It is a game changer as you know.
