5 Year Anniversary!

Well today has finally come! Patrick and I are headed on a little get away to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary! I really can't believe that we have been married 5 years. Some days it seems like it was just yesterday that we were walking down the aisle and others it feels like a lifetime ago!

I am so excited to get away with just the hubs! It will be so nice to rest, relax, and sleep! I can't wait to have no baby monitor in sight. I'm going to miss the boys so much but know they will be in the best hands with my in-laws! Our actual anniversary is not until January 21st which is Saturday, but because we will be out of town and it's the weekend I wanted to share this post a few day early!

Yesterday when I was putting this post together I went to find the CD of all our wedding pictures, well apparently we got married so long ago that wasn't really a thing. I have hard copies of every picture taken but not CD. So Here are some of my favorites from our wedding day, however they are a picture of a picture, so don't judge the quality! We got married in Charlotte and our reception was at Quail Hollow Club. It was easily the happiest days of my life, aside from the birth of our two boys!

A fun fact, the veil I wore was the same veil my mom wore when she married my dad. She had borrowed it from a friend and when I got engaged I told her that I wished she still had the veil, well my grandmother contacted the woman and she was so kind to let me borrow it! I wish that it was our veil but I will forever be grateful that I got to wear it and that my mom wore it too!

To my sweet husband,
Five years ago when I walked down that aisle I never could have imagined what our life would be like today! I knew that I loved you so very much but what I didn't know was that my love for you would grow with each and every day that we spend together. We have had the highest of highs and some lows but through it all you have remained by my side.

In five years time we have welcomed our first son into our life. We experienced first hand what being first time parents meant. We were sleep deprived and learned to figure out what worked and what didn't. two years later we welcomed our second son into our family and realized just how crazy life could get! We survived a colicky baby and lots and lots of spit up! I saw what it meant to be a good daddy. You have always been an amazing dad. Our boys adore you and seeing you with them makes me fall even more in love with you! I have watched you grow your business from a one man show to having two crews and an amazing shop. I have seen you work harder than anyone I know! And at the end of a long day of work you come home and immediately put your daddy hat on, whether you are happy about it or not. There is no way I could ever do this life without you. You definitely keep this family running!

I don't know what the future holds for us. But I do know that as long as I have you by my side it will be nothing short of wonderful! I am so blessed to be your wife, and the mother of your children. I pray that with each year to come we grow closer than the year before. You were an answered prayer 5 years ago when we walked down that aisle. Thank you for being my husband and putting up with me on a daily basis. I love you more than you will ever know!
