I confess....
// That I have enjoyed this little blogging hiatus I took the past few days. I had gotten into the habit of getting up early to write my posts but then my boys decided they didn't want to sleep past 6 am so I started doing them at night. Well I just haven't had the energy lately to write them and by 9:30 I was ready for bed and still no post.
// I am lacking some creative juices for posts lately. I feel like I have several things that I want to talk about but am not sure if they would be of any interest to everyone so I haven't written.
// That Graham is going to be 9 months old in a few weeks and I have yet to write his 7 or 8 month update nor did I take his monthly picture for either. Total slacker on the second child! I love writing the monthly updates so that I'll have them to look back on but at this point I can't even remember where 7 month stopped and 8 months started.
// That we went on a random Wednesday night date night with our best friends last night and it was so much fun! It's nice to get out and not have to beg my toddler to sit down and eat and make sure the baby isn't going to scream the entire meal. I was able to actually sit and enjoy it and have meaningful conversation.
// That I had planned to write a recap of our Fourth of July weekend but I've seen so many posts the past several days and decided that they all end up the same. We went to the beach and had a great time but we didn't even watch fireworks..so un-American of us, I know!
// That I am counting down the days until we go to Michigan. We have always gone over the Fourth so I am really missing it right now and can't wait to be with my whole family for several days!
// That I am beyond over the summer heat. The heat index has been getting over 100 the last several days and its too hot to do anything. We haven't been to the pool in two weeks and I pretty much keep Graham inside and home most days.
// That Jacks new phrase he says all the time is "don't forget me mom!" He started it this weekend and it totally took me by surprise. I can assure you I've never ever forgotten him nor will I ever. I have no idea where he picked this up but its pitiful when he says it. Sometimes I think he says it just because he knows it shocks me. We were walking down the aisle at Harris Teeter the other day and he started yelling it for all to hear.
Well that's it for my confessions this week. I would love for you to leave a comment and let me know of any fun topics or ideas you'd like to read about! I need some good suggestions. Today is going to be another scorcher so I doubt we will do much other than sit inside and enjoy the fact that we have air conditioning! I hope you have a great Thursday. You have to love toddler phrases. And I completely understand the creative slump. I feel like I've been in one for a month now. Here's hoping they get better soon!

ReplyDeleteI am in a creative slump as well. I have no creative juices and need a break as well. I love random nights out without the toddlers. Makes having dinner so much more fun and enjoyable. Ha. Toddlers are so cute with their phrases. I wonder where he picked it up from. It's cute, but sad too. I hope it cools down there too. It's hot over here. As for blog ideas. I need some as well, so I plan to come back here for suggestions. I hope you have an amazing Thursday. P.S. I got my tumbler in the mail yesterday and I am loving it. It is so pretty and I am drinking my coffee out of it right now. Thank you so much Emily. You are an amazing friend!
